A time of reflection on the year that has passed us by. Was it good, was it bad, was it all the things you had hoped it would be? If it was, you have been blessed. If it wasn’t, life does not end and a brand new year with all its joys and sorrows await. There is something to be learned with every corner we are thrown into, every grief we find ourselves torn in. And there is something beautiful waiting to be born with every experience.

When we get lost amidst the tangled twists of relationships, dusty hopes, unfortunate goodbyes, and promising stories left unfinished, we must realise that our pains are impermanent, and our journey across this life is abound with reason and purpose. The destinies we spend every day of a year creating, lead us closer to the day we leave.

Looking back at all the things that made you laugh, cry, and fear…remember my friend, this isn’t the end of the story. Emotion at its peak is what it means to be alive, to be human. We are only in this body for as long as we are allowed on this earth borrowed. So make the best of the moments given, no matter how hard they may be. These seasons come and go, long after we are gone, and most of us would give anything for one more breath when our time is come.

With all my heart, I wish everyone a very wonderful and blessed 2012. May we remember to count every little blessing that comes our way, be it a sparkling ray of sunshine in the depths of winter, a crystal raindrop from the heavens, or an innocent smile from a child. On this side of the world, we have everything.

Let the breath of your dying dreams come to life again as we step into the beauty of the sun’s first light.
