Thank you so much for being here! About Esque 21 The meaning behind Esque 21 is simple. Esque is defined as having qualities of, or in the style or manner of. It is something like “ish”, only more formal and classier. Some examples of how this suffix is used are words like picturesque and Romanesque. The number 21 is a symbol to show that we are 21^st century and mainstream. Our ezine focuses on all that is current, trendy and modern to our lives. As you can see, there is a wide array of categories from fashion to movies to God to making a difference. And we are accepting your talented submissions for all of them. We appreciate your voice – what you have to say, what you can create with your gifts, and what you’d like to share with our world. Esque 21 is absolutely and entirely, dedicated to you. I wanted to start a magazine like this as all too often I’ve come across unnecessarily strict criteria in competitions and publishing sectors (books, magazines, newspapers). They just won’t print you for you. They force you to cramp your style, adopt a voice that isn’t yours, just so you can be heard through the black box they’ve squashed you in. I don’t believe in all that. I believe everyone has something unique to offer the world, in whatever form and style. Talents and passions are precious, and I endeavour to give you that niche and platform to showcase your gifts. Especially if you’ve never done so or never had the chance to. For our premiere launch issue, we’ve already over 20 contributors, from all different backgrounds and countries, truly making Esque 21 what it’s all about - You. So come and visit out sections and read about your lives and dreams, your artistic and poetic creations, your reviews and recommendations. We have a little bit of everything for everyone, so take your time to explore it all. Infinite Thanks… Finally, my heartfelt thanks and infinite gratitude go out to several who have helped make this dream a reality. To God, who makes all things possible. This is my gift back to you, all glory and honour to Your Name. Thank you for this beautiful and timeless opportunity to collaborate with many and for us all to make a statement. To Siobhan Hyde – If you hadn’t given me the idea to start a magazine, this may never have happened. I wouldn’t have been able to do this without your support and encouragement, and of course, all your help and teamwork. You are awesome in so many ways.
